They used materials that they knew were not going to last to same money. AHP has a one year warranty on their construction but that should not include electrical work especially if its located where it is impossible to access.

There is a difference between the electrical boxes that are designed for ceiling fans and the ones for regular light fixtures. Most licensed electricions are familiar with the retrofit boxes and should be able to replace the box with little ceiling repairs. Once started, work continued through to completion. We respect our customer's position on this issue. Our building permit records indicate that america's Home Place has worked on at least 27 projects over the past 3 years. We hired America's home place to build our house in Hillsboro, Tn, and all we have had is problems. First there were numerous delays in digging the footers.
The not only ripoff the home owners but the subs and suppliers are cheated routinely. I was stiffed for $30K+ in cabinets I ordered for for 7 homes that I held in my warehouse for 2 months...paying interest to MY supplier. When they finally got around to picking them up they signed a NET 10 bill of sale. My wife any I have been stuck in a nightmare with this company. This was one of the worst decisions I have ever made. They will tell you everything you want to hear to get your business and then later you will find out they under price items by over 75% which will cost you thousands.
From the start, there was one problem after another. I was out of pocket several thousand dollars for things that are usually included in the constrcution costs by other builders. The construction quality of the home is shoddy ... From day one we had warped walls, crooked baseboards, poorly installed vinyl siding (it's crooked), nails backing out of the ceiling, creaking floors - and much more. They were slow about fixing the few items that they did fix ; it was like they were delaying as long as they could so that the warranty would expire. Like 10K for a driveway ; 10K for a skimpy back porch.
